Our Story
Where it Started
School Datebooks started in 1985 at Sharon Powers’ kitchen table in Lafayette, Indiana. With a typewriter, a lot of determination, and a belief that students could benefit from better organization, Sharon turned a simple idea into something schools could count on.
Growing Together
As more schools discovered School Datebooks, the business grew. Sharon’s son, Tim, joined her and helped take the company from a homegrown operation to a national brand. Still, the focus remained the same: helping schools and students stay organized.
Moving Forward
Today, School Datebooks is part of SDI Innovations and continues to grow under Tim’s leadership. A lot has changed since 1985, but what matters hasn’t. We exist to support school administrators and anyone who keeps the school moving.
