STEM Education Works is an education technology and curriculum company based in Lafayette, Indiana. We are on a mission to put best in class STEM resources in the hands of every single student and teacher across the country and make learning awesome! We partner directly with schools, teachers, and educational organizations to provide hands-on learning experiences to prepare students for the future.
THE POSITION:
We are expanding our Professional Development team! As a Professional Learning Specialist, you will deliver engaging, high-quality training sessions—either on-site with customers or virtually from our Lafayette, Indiana office. You will lead impactful professional development and consulting services, ensuring an outstanding customer experience. Collaboration with internal teams will also be key to driving success.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
You will provide professional training and implementation of STEM curriculum and technologies to prepare customers and teammates for success. You’ll be working with our team to:
- Provide in-person and remote professional learning for new and current users of STEM Education Works products to ensure customer success.
- Offer technical expertise and training to colleagues.
- Support implementation of new products and curricula to determine validity, feedback, and value.
- Assist in creating and refinement of lesson plans and their resources, including research and standards alignment.
- Facilitate interactive webinars and hands-on workshops for educators.
- Remain up to date with product features, curriculum updates, and new offerings in our STEM Education Works portfolio.
- Represent STEM Education Works at conferences and engage with attendees at our exhibitor booth.
- Participate in outreach events to build awareness and foster educator engagement.
- Collaborate with Account Executives during pre-sales conversations, helping to recommend tailored solutions.
- Work with sales, customer success and internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from onboarding to successful implementation.
- Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation.
- Provide feedback on existing products and curriculum.
- Travel required as needed for training and events.
YOU MAY BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or related field
- Classroom and/or educational experience
- Ability to conduct presentations to a wide variety of audiences
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- A passion for technology and education, and a deep understanding of the needs facing teachers, schools, and students
- Project management experience
- Interest in working in a fast-paced start-up environment
- Strong computer skills and a willingness to learn and grow
