PART-TIME ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT/CLERK
Attention to detail mandatory. Green visor optional.
We’re looking for a part-timer (20-25 hours/week) who’s willing to dig in and help our Accounting Department oversee our multiple companies. And join the battle against our Marketing Department and their willingness to spend. (Just kidding, the Marketing people are pretty chill.)
We’d prefer someone who has accounting experience; especially with competence in MS Office and QuickBooks. Strong data entry and word processing skills along with superior accuracy and attention to detail are very important.
The person in this position will tackle many tasks, including processing customer payments; preparing bank deposits; entering and processing bills from our vendors; matching and reconciling vendor statements and POs. (If you don’t know what a PO is, that’s going to be a problem.)
But, wait, there’s more! (Don’t get too excited, it’s still Accounting-type stuff.) You’ll spend time scanning and saving documents, completing vendor paperwork for customers, and other clerical-type things. You’ll get the opportunity to sharpen your private-eye skills, too by researching, tracking and resolving accounting problems.
